which is situated one and a half miles from Ingleton.
"Moor
View" is set back from the A65 and enjoys a 360 degree
view of fells and moorland, including Ingleborough itself.
We are only 4 miles from the summit.
 The
two en-suite guest rooms are of a good size and very comfortable with
central heating, colour TV and hospitality tray. There is a sitting/dining
room for guests, with a wide selection of maps and books which you
are welcome to browse through or borrow.
We
serve a Full English cooked breakfast.
Packed lunches are available by prior arrangement.
The
market towns of Skipton and Kendal are within 25 miles, as is the
historic town of Lancaster. The famous Settle to Carlisle Railway
starts just 15 minutes away at Settle.
This area is unsurpassed walking country with the challenging "Three
Peaks" on our doorstep! Also, the "Pennine Way , "Ribble
Way" and "Dales Way" are all close by.
Interesting
geological sites abound in the local area, such as The White Scar
Show Cave, the Norber Erratics and several protected limestone pavements
to name but a few.
This
is a superb area for cycling, with quiet back roads and
bridleways leading to small villages with little cafe's and pubs to
provide refreshment.
We
can provide secure garaging for cycles and drying facilities for outdoor
gear.
 Within
easy travelling distance are all the Yorkshire Dales areas, the Forest
and Trough of Bowland, The Ribble valley and just a little further
afield is the beauty of the Lake District and the North west coastal
areas. All can be easily reached in under an hour.
Whether
you want to go walking or cycling, climbing or caving, touring or
just relaxing, "Moor View" is the ideal place to stay.
